Bronze Hollow Waitress with Tray Sculpture

How this sculpture takes shape.

Original workshop photographs, from the first model to the finished piece.

Clay model and portrait development

The workshop photographs show the figure before the final bronze surface is applied. At this stage the portrait, hairstyle, collar, hands and standing pose can be reviewed together. A close-up of the face makes the expression easier to evaluate than a distant full-body photograph. For a custom version, confirm the features and proportions that matter before moving on to the finished appearance.

Open form, color and finished views

The finished views show blue clothing contrasted with golden-toned skin and a darker tray. The open waist is an intentional part of the composition, rather than a missing component. Front and side photographs help explain how the tray, arms, legs and base relate to one another. Requested colors should be agreed against a finish reference, and the intended indoor, covered or exposed setting should be discussed when specifying protection and maintenance.

Packing and the sculpture’s journey

The supplied packing photograph shows a support frame around the finished sculpture. Projecting parts and the open form need particular attention during handling. The final crate, internal support and transport scope are agreed for the selected dimensions and destination. The customer also supplied a photograph of the sculpture after receipt, together with a message welcoming her into the family and naming her Daphne.
